Privacy statement

This is the privacy statement of Brandenburch Asten BV, located in 5721 MZ Asten, at Kanaalweg 6, hereinafter referred to as Brandenburch, www.brandenburch.com.

Applicability

This privacy statement applies to all privacy-sensitive information or personal data that you provide to us, for example via a registration form, contact form, or orders that you place. We attach great importance to the privacy of our customers and take the greatest possible care in handling and protecting personal data. We process data in accordance with the conditions imposed in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Within the context of the GDPR, Brandenburch is the controller with respect to the processing of your personal data. This means that we alone determine which personal data are processed, for what purpose, how. We are responsible for ensuring that your personal data are processed in a proper and careful manner in accordance with the GDPR. In this privacy statement, we set out which data we process and the purposes for which the data are used.

Purpose and grounds for processing personal data

By agreeing to this privacy statement you expressly consent, within the meaning of Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, to the processing of your personal data for the purposes set out below. You can withdraw this consent at any time. However, if you do not provide us with certain data or do not allow us to process it, we may not be able to provide you with the service you require.

If you have not given us explicit consent to process your personal data or if you have withdrawn such consent, the processing of your personal data may be subject to the principles of Articles 6(1)(b), (c) and/or (f) of the GDPR. In that case, your personal data may be processed without your consent, provided this is necessary for the execution of an agreement to which you are or become a party, or for the representation of the legitimate interests of Brandenburch. In addition, we may be under a legal obligation to process your personal data.

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

We may use your personal data for commercial purposes, such as to inform you about our services or relevant products or services of carefully selected organisations. In this case, we will only send such information to the e-mail address you have registered. If you do not wish to receive information about relevant products or services, you can indicate this simply by clicking on “unsubscribe” in the email you receive.

We will also use your personal data for market research purposes and to optimise our services. In this context, your personal data will be anonymised so cannot be traced back to you.

We use Google Analytics in the manner prescribed by the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch: DPA) in order to qualify for the exception under the Dutch Cookie Act, so that your prior consent for the use of Google Analytics is not required.

These are useful extras: such as a Google map with interactive directions, a ‘like’ button on Facebook, or the option to forward something on Twitter. These cookies allow the website you are viewing to ‘know’ whether you are logged in to Google, Facebook or Twitter.

View, correct or delete

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing, if given, or to object to the processing of your personal data. You have the right to data portability if digital personal data are processed by us either with your consent or for the performance of an agreement we have concluded with you.This means that you can submit a request to us to send the digital personal data we have stored about you in a readable computer file to you or another organisation named by you.

You can send a request to view, correct, delete, or transfer your personal data, a revocation of your consent, or an objection to the processing of your personal data to info@brandenburch.com.

To ensure that the request to view is filed by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with your request. In this copy, please black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), your passport number and citizen service number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, and within four weeks at the latest.

We would also like to point out that you have the option of lodging a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (DPA). The telephone number is 0900 – 2001 201.
